Baked Donuts…..Yummo♥

SONY DSCI just found these pic’s from Valentine’s Day….was fun making these little Lovelies! They were delightful!! I of course got the recipe on Pinterest but modified it to a healthier (if I can say donut & healthy in same sentence) version.

Ingredients:
1 cup Spelt Flour
1 Cup Wholewheat Flour
3/4 Organic Coconut sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
zest of 1 orange
2 large eggs
1 cup of milk
4 Tbsp olive oil

Bake @ 350F for 10 minutes

Glaze: Juice of 1 Orange, 2 cups Icing Sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla & 1 tsp saffron

These babies are not light & fluffy…if you want that replace healthy flours above with enriched white flour & cake flour (Barf!) but they are delightfully tasty & perfect with a cup of tea.
Love this recipe…it’s definetley a keeper!
