Easy Peasy Showerhead Cleaner!

shower2
If you live in “The Sticks” and have hard water, here’s a solution to clean your showerhead!
-1/3 cup baking soda
-1 cup white vinegar
-1 plastic bag
-1 large bag twisty tie

1. Mix baking soda and vinegar in bag over a sink. Caution: Pour vinegar into bag slowly, there is an “explosive” foaming action that kicks in.

2. Place bag over showerhead. Be sure it is submerged in the baking soda/vinegar solution.

3. Secure with twisty tie.

4. Let the showerhead soak in the solution overnight or for at least 2-3 hours.

5. Wipe off showerhead prior to use.

Repair Callused Heels In 10 Minutes…Truth!!

feet

My feet take a beating in the summer…I am not a fan of shoes, flip flops are my main squeeze from April til October. Soooo I have “thick heels”…gross! My calluses are so thick I could put a ciggy butt out on them & I wouldn’t flinch. Here are the simple details to lose a shoe size.
1 cup mouthwash (I used a bottle of No Name from the Dollar Store)
1 cup vinegar
2 cups hot water
Soak feet for 10 minutes in above mixture. Pumice your heels.
Voila…be prepared to be in love with your feet!

Natural Cleaning Recipes…A No Brainer!

Here are a few natural cleaning recipes that I use & love…cuts down on cost of cleaning products & their chemical ickiness….
cat
Toilet Bomb (Remove cat)

1/2 cup baking soda

1/2 cup white vinegar

5 – 10 drops Melaleuca (Tea Tree) essential oil

Combine all ingredients in at least a quart-size container. Add vinegar to the baking soda to create the explosion your kids are going to love! Dump into toilet. You can dump all ingredients directly into the toilet but explosion isn’t as dynamic…hehe your choice

Speaking of the dreaded toilet…to cut down on the Eau de stinko toilette, I use this…

Toilet Paste

-¾ cup baking soda
-Enough liquid castile soap to form a paste
-5 drops tea tree oil
-5 drops of lemon, lemongrass, or sweet orange oil (optional)

Directions: Add liquid castile soap to baking soda slowly until paste is formed. Then proceed to add antiseptic essential oils. Apply scrub to sponge for use on surface to be cleaned. It’s perfect to clean where floor & toilet meet.

Basic Sink Cleaning

Sprinkle baking soda, about 1 tablespoon, in a wet sink. Add 1-2 drops of the lemon oil. Scrub the sink with a damp, not wet, sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.

Mirror Bright (Move over Windex!)

1 cup white vinegar

1 cup water

8 drops citrus oil (Lemon, Wild Orange, Lime, Grapefruit)

Combine all ingredients in a plastic spray bottle and shake well before use.

Because I can, I made a scarf into my camera strap…real simple. Cut your scarf to length perfect to hang your camera over your shoulder. Pinch ends, slip on D ring and glue leather piece on (then I stitched). Attach metal lanyard hooks…Voila, something no one else has!
