Calendula blossoms are bright orange (we call them Marigolds) and contain oils that are very soothing and nourishing to the skin. A salve can be made with Calendula oils to help relieve skin irritations that require moisture, such as eczema or psoriasis.
Calendula is beneficial for a multitude of ailments. When taken internally – as a tea or tincture – it has the ability to reduce the inflammation of the digestive system. When applied topically — as a lotion, salve, ointment, herbal bath, or compress — it is one of the best herbs for treating skin issues like burns, inflammation, cuts, scrapes, bruises, bee stings, minor wounds, diaper rashes, conjunctivitis, eczema, athlete’s foot, and acne. It works just like any anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory would.

Here’s How To Make:
Ingredients:
4 oz. Sweet Almond Oil
4 oz. Distilled Infused Calendula water
1/2 oz. Beeswax
1/2 oz. vegetable Glycerin
1/2 oz. Witch Hazel
15 Drops of Peace & Calming
Prepare Calendula distilled water by pouring water over dried Calendula flowers (I bought at Community but in the summer I will use Marigold Flowers) and steep until room temperature. Strain & reserve 4 oz. Measure out the oils & beeswax. Add them to mason jar & put in double boiler, melt over low heat stirring occasionally. Remove from pot after melting & allow to cool. Once room temperature slowly add vegetable glycerin, witch hazel, herbal infused water & essential oil while blending. As the lotion cools further, it will thicken.
Pour into containers & ENJOY♥
